Dr. Traci Temmen’s Education and Memberships
Dr. Temmen graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia. During college she performed organic chemistry research at both the University of Missouri-Columbia and the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology designing cancer-fighting drugs.
Dr. Traci Temmen was then awarded a full-tuition, academic scholarship to attend medical school at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. While obtaining high honors, she also performed basic science and clinical research on children with craniofacial abnormalities. It was through this experience and working with some of the most prestigious and well-respected female plastic surgeons in the country that Dr. Traci Temmen decided to pursue her career as a plastic surgeon.
Traci Temmen, M.D. completed six years of specialized plastic surgery residency training at the University of South Florida before becoming one of the few board-certified, female plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is an associate member of the American College of Surgeons and a member of many other regional and national plastic surgery organizations. Dr. Temmen has won a number of awards including the Best of Tampa Bay Award in 2017 and the Vitals.com Patients’ Choice Award of 2019. She regularly attends plastic surgery conferences so that she can stay up-to-date with the latest innovations and improvements in the field of plastic surgery. Dr. Temmen’s commitment to continuing education and excellence allows her to offer her patient’s the most advanced plastic surgery procedures including endoscopic, short scar forehead lifts, mini tummy tucks, the Brazilian butt lift, three dimensional body sculpting with liposuction, and natural breast augmentation with fat transfer.
